  • You Are What You Eat

Udon from Wasabi Sushi (a local Japanese restaurant)

Some appetizer that my mom ordered.
I don't remember the name, but it was good .

Spicy Tofu Rice from this fushion restaurant in Korean Town.

    Pastrami Sandwich from Katz
You can't see it in this picture, but this sandwich was paired up with a nice cold cream soda.

    Chocolate Cake from Baskin-Robbins
This was my brother's birthday cake (May 5th).

    Salmon Onigiri & an Orange
This one's a little out of place, but it is something that I ate. (Look! It looks like girl mario is eating the onigiri!)

I must be delicious, but really unhealthy. No wonder why I'm so fat, haha. Whatever .

On a totally unrelated note, check out Guy Forces His Wife to Dress in a Garbage Bag for the Next Three Years. And while you're at it, check out Lily & Marshall Sell Their Stuff. Those of you who watch How I Met Your Mother will understand why that's funny. Those of you who don't watch the show should watch it. You're missing out on something legendary .

    Squirrels Frolic in the Park

I had a break today between class and tutoring. Since it was such a nice day out, me and Emi decided to go for a walk in Madison Square Park. After strolling around and looking at the dogs in the dog park, we saw a squirrel and started taking pictures of it (incidentally, both of us had our cameras). Impromptu Squirrel Photo Shoot! (Okay, that was weird.) Here's one of the six pictures I took of the squirrel. It's looking at the camera in this one .

I'm actually not used to seeing squirrels running around like that. There used to be a lot of them around my neighborhood, but now there aren't many. I've only seen about three of them. Each of them looks a little different: one has a shorter tail than the rest (just a little nub. i think someone cut it off ), one is a little darker than the other ones, and the last one looks like the one above. You might wonder why I'm so observant of the squirrels in my neighborhood. Really, I'm not. Funnily enough, they made a home for themselves in the shack in my backyard. They peeled off a piece of the roof and crawled inside and tore up almost all of the things inside. I haven't seen it for myself (I fear being attacked by the squirrels), but my dad said it was pretty bad when he patched the hole up. What would be really weird and (unintentionally) mean is if he patched the hole up while there was still a squirrel inside.

Recently, Bob Marley has been stuck in my head. As I walk home, to the train station, up and down the stairs, and to my classes, I clear my head and in pops Bob Marley's rendition of "Don't Worry Be Happy" and out pops the lyrics from my mouth. I guess it isn't so bad with my finals coming up in about two weeks. It's always uplifting to have these types of carefree songs stuck in your head once in a while.

    Good Luck on your Finals!

    Issac

It's really becoming a struggle for me to do this persuasive speech. I've chosen a topic and got a little bit of the powerpoint done, but I still tend to trail off to do other things like look through some pictures on my laptop and thinking about what to post here (what a full life I lead, I know). I don't know if it's overall disinterest in school or just thoughts about the summer. I just can't make myself finish this speech or do other things that I'm supposed to be doing.

For example, I think it was Sunday that I watched Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay instead of doing my school assignments. By the way, it really wasn't as good as people hyped it up to be. Definitely not as funny as the first one. I mean, I understood the jokes, but I just didn't find them as funny. American comedies should have more random humor like Chinese comedies . However, the poem at the end was cute though. Nerdy, but cute. Just my style . Next on my list of things to watch: Juno. But I guess that should wait until after classes and finals end.

So anyway, I was looking through some old pictures and found this:

This little boy's name is Issac (not Isaac) and he's my second cousin (cousin's kid). This picture was taken in 2005 when he was 3 (I think). I believe it was taken on a mid-autumn festival get-together my family was having. That makes him 5 now. I just thought it was cute and funny. It made me giggle.

Looks like I'm not challenging you guys enough with those "Guess the Picture" challenges. I better find a way to make that harder .

    Until next time.

P.S. Check out the "Currently Listening" song. It's been on my playlist for a couple months (ever since I first heard it on the Old Navy sweater commercials, haha).

Why I'll Be Going Blind & Guess the Picture IV&V

While I was supposed to be thinking of a topic for a persuasive speech I'm giving on Wednesday, I decided to [yet again] pimp out my desktop. Inspired by the Murakami exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum that I went to yesterday, I decided to look for a wallpaper that was as psychedelic (but not as raunchy or "hentai-ish," haha) as the things I saw yesterday. I found a wallpaper on deviantart (sorry, I lost the link) and modeled the layout of adium according to that. The result: blindness . It hurts to look at it for a long time.

(click picture to see slightly bigger version)

    Guess the Picture IV
    Previous Answer: Cheese Grater

    Easy Peasy

    Guess the Picture 5
Yes, I added another one because the last couple were too easy. This one's a little harder.

    Have a good week, guys!
